Minerals in Sports Performance

Currently, athletes have become more aware of the need to carry an appropriate meal plan and the many benefits it brings to both health and for athletic performance.

Recreational and competitive athletes are interested in the beneficial role that can bring an adequate intake of minerals since they act as regulators in the processes of energy production and use.

The functions of minerals in the development of optimal physical performance are many and among them we found an enzyme activity in the process of glycolysis, as structural components in lipolysis, are components of the catalytic site in the proteo lysis and antioxidant defense phosphagen hydrolysis.
